About me

I am a Virginia and Maryland State licensed and Diplomat Acupuncturist certified by the National Certification Commission For Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

I attended school at the Maryland University for Integrative Health where she learned both Worsley Style 5 Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. My own experiences with acupuncture as an athlete pushed me to expand my study into orthopedic acupuncture.

My practice is located in Annandale, Virginia.

services and techniques

There are many different styles, specialties, lineages and types of acupuncture. I do an assessment of how to best meet your goals and craft a treatment plan to support your unique needs. It is my goal to clearly see each person as an individual who needs personalized care in order to alleviate your suffering. I use palpation, tongue diagnosis, pulse diagnosis and in-depth listening to your history to make a diagnosis. Listed below are some of the techniques I use to support you and achieve your health goals.

tcm (traditional chinese medicine)

Supporting the body by balancing our life force (qi) using designated acupuncture points along the meridians. This ancient system of medicine focuses on harmonizing the body and focuses on healing the root cause of symptoms as well as preventing further disease. It supports change and growth in all dimensions of life from physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

5 element acupuncture

A classical approach to a person as a whole that assesses the root imbalances that is causing symptoms and crafting a treatment plan that supports the person's constitution. The focus is on "who am I when I show up as my best self" and helps address the wobbles that keep us from being that person. Assessment is made by using the model of how Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire show up within us as a direct reflection of nature.

orthopedic acupuncture

Using myofascial trigger point therapy and other needle applications to accelerate injury rehabilitation and enhance performance. Techniques are geared towards quick recovery, pain management and maintaining longterm results. Often used in conjunction with GuaSha, cupping and electric stimulation.

women’s health

Acupuncture is very helpful in supporting people who menstruate as they navigate their unique and various experiences. Hormone balancing, fertility support, PCOS, endometriosis, irregular periods and painful periods are just a few of ways in which we support women.
